Academy management software for Paragon Jiu-Jitsu schools

Paragon academies run on the team's curriculum, the team's promotion standards, and very often the team's language. Kmura is built for exactly that: belts and stripes as the data model, a curriculum you define once, and the whole platform in English and Brazilian Portuguese.

Built for How Paragon Academies Run

Three things an affiliated school needs from software that a generic gym platform treats as afterthoughts.

    Your team's curriculum, defined once

Kmura's curriculum tracker is fully customizable. Set the techniques and criteria your academy requires for each stripe and belt, and every promotion is tracked against them. Students see how close the next stripe is in their portal, and the nightly review flags who has met the criteria so promotions happen on time.

    Portuguese for the whole team

Owner dashboard, staff tools and student portal all run in English and Brazilian Portuguese, switchable per person. A Brazilian head instructor works in Portuguese while the front desk works in English, on the same data.

    Flat pricing per location

$150 a month per location with unlimited students and every feature included, and card processing at 2.6% + 30 cents. A second door is another flat $150, so growth is priced by rooms, never by headcount.

Paragon Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was founded in California in 1997 by Ricardo “Franjinha” Miller, a black belt under Romero “Jacaré” Cavalcanti, and has since grown into a network of affiliated academies.

An affiliated academy owner is running a business inside a shared standard for technique, promotion and culture. The software should make that standard easy to keep, not harder.

“Kmura is intuitive, and has been instrumental in managing the academy. I highly recommend it. It's easy to use, and the Portuguese translation has been super helpful for our instructors.”

    What Every Academy Gets

The parts of Kmura that do not change from team to team.

Every night Kmura reads your academy's activity, attendance patterns, gaps, time in grade, billing state, and flags who has stopped showing up, who is due for a promotion and which leads have gone cold. For each one it pre-drafts the message; your staff read it and send it. Kmura never sends anything on its own.

Migration in is free and white-glove: students, attendance history, promotions and waivers come across from your current system, and we do the export-and-import work rather than handing you a spreadsheet template.

The only thing billed outside the flat monthly price is SMS, pay-as-you-go, with the exact cost shown before you send.
